One of the North West’s leading veterinary referral centres is opening its doors to primary care receptionists to learn about the referral process.
The special one-off CPD event will take place on Wednesday 10 July at Linnaeus-owned Northwest Veterinary Specialists (NWVS) in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Sarah Hardy, client services team leader at NWVS, is spearheading the drive so her primary care client care colleagues can better understand what happens in a referral animal hospital.
Sarah said: “This is a great opportunity for primary care veterinary receptionists to learn all they need to know about the referral process.
“We will discuss how client care teams can work efficiently together to make the referral journey run smoothly, and will include topics such as dealing with emergencies, our services and what to expect when your clients are referred to NWVS.”
Those attending the informative CPD, which starts at 7.30pm and finishes at 9pm and also includes a buffet and refreshments, will also have the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art facilities at NWVS.
Sarah added: “NWVS enjoys a fantastic relationship with primary care practices in the region, and I hope this CPD evening will strengthen it even further.”
The number of places for the CPD event is limited, so primary care veterinary receptionists wanting to attend should register on the CPD section at NWVS website.
NWVS is one of the UK’s leading specialist-led animal hospitals. It offers care in anaesthesia and analgesia, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, oncology, orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery.
