Veterinary group Linnaeus will be opening its first new practice in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, later this year.
The primary care practice will be based at Prospect House in Lion Square, central Kidderminster.
Following an extensive refit, the site will feature five consulting rooms; dental, x-ray and ultrasound suites; a laboratory; and two surgical theatres.
Building work is under way onsite, with the practice due to open in autumn 2024. Linnaeus is also recruiting for new team members.
The new location is expected to create eight local jobs on opening, which will increase as Linnaeus’ Kidderminster practice grows.
Lisa Poyser, director of business development at Linnaeus, said: “Expanding our network of practices will help us to see more patients on a regular basis, ensuring we can provide pets and their owners in Worcestershire with a range of quality services and support.
“Our new site will be completely transformed in the coming months. It has been designed to welcome a variety of patients, from dwarf hamsters to Irish Wolfhounds, and we will be offering care that is tailored to the needs of local pets and their owners.
“We are also developing innovative digital systems that will revolutionise the way we support our customers.”
Linnaeus is recruiting for new team members, including a vet, nurses and support staff to join its newly appointed senior leadership team at the Kidderminster practice.
