Online knowledge and information hub Improve Veterinary Practice (IVP) from Improve International has launched a new expert help forum to support the learning and development of the whole veterinary team.
Available under the community section the IVP website, the expert help forum will regularly feature a new expert who will present an intriguing case study alongside their diagnosis and treatment. Over the course of a week, the expert will share and reveal new facts to stimulate discussion, support the final diagnosis and management of the case.
Veterinary professionals will be able to review, ask questions and contribute to the discussion around the case on the forum. Due to this, the forum will be a valuable additional coaching mechanism to support the development and understanding of the different aspects of the decision-making process for prognosis and treatment for the whole veterinary team.
Experts will cover general practice and specialised interests across small animal, large animal, equine and exotics; so whether you’re a vet or nurse, specialist or GP, sign up to our expert forum where you’ll learn first-hand using real case studies from clinical practice and get the opportunity to discuss them with experts, peers and colleagues.
Our first expert forum will be led by Laura George, DipHECVN, DipAVN (small animal), NCertA&CC, CertVN ECC, VTS (SAIM), RVN, who specialises in internal medicine and emergency and critical care nursing. Laura will be presenting the triage case of Rosie, a six-year-old working Cocker Spaniel who collapsed at home. You can learn more about the case and contribute to the discussion here.
Coming up, we’ll also be hearing from exotics specialist Ashton Hollwarth, BSc, BVMS, CertAVP (Zoo Med), ANZCVS (Avian Medicine & Surgery), MRCVS, as well as Nicolas Granger, DVM, PhD, DipECVN, FHEA, FRCVS, who is head of the neurology/neurosurgery service at Bristol Veterinary Specialists (CVS Referrals). Watch this space!
