Harrison’s Bird Foods is inviting researchers, scientists and professionals to apply for its newly established Avian Nutrition, Wellness and Conservation Grants. This initiative seeks to support groundbreaking research and innovative projects that enhance our understanding of avian health, nutrition, and conservation.
They are encouraging proposals that explore a variety of critical topics, including, but not limited to:
- Nutritional requirements for various avian species
- The impact of diet on avian health and wellness
- Behavioral and environmental factors affecting avian nutrition
- Innovations in avian feeding practices
- The role of nutrition in avian reproduction and growth
- Conservation efforts addressing wild avian nutrition issues
They welcome applications from researchers, scientists and professionals in avian health, conservation, and nutrition or academic institutions, research organisations, non-profit entities and government agencies.
The Avian Nutrition, Wellness and Conservation Grants will provide up to $50,000 per project for a duration of one year or less. This amount will be used to fund research expenses, including materials, equipment and personnel costs.
Applicants must submit a detailed proposal including:

- Project proposal (three pages total):
- Abstract ( around 250 words)
- Background and significance
- Research objectives
- Methodology
- Expected outcomes and impact
- Budget and timeline (two pages total):
- Project timeline
- Budget
- Budget justification
- CV(s) (three pages maximum per CV)
