New osteoarthritis congress to take place in May

The Veterinary Osteoarthritis Alliance (VOA) is running the inaugural VOACON to bring together cutting edge research on small animal and equine osteoarthritis management

In association with hybrid veterinary wholesaler, Nupsala, VOACON will take place at the Grand Hotel, Leicester on May 24 and May 25, 2023. The “Progress in Motion” congress will bring together the foremost minds working at the cutting edge of small animal and equine osteoarthritis management and treatment along with the companies driving the technology, supplies and services.

The event is open to VOA members and non-members and offers up to 14 hours of CPD over the two days. The first day will feature two small animal streams, including a session on dealing with chronic pain, while there will also be a equine stream looking at treatment options and case studies. Day two will feature sessions on biomodulation, surgery and rehabilitation for osteoarthritis.

Professor Stuart Carmichael, co-founder and director of the VOA, comments: “Exciting developments are happening in veterinary OA, so we felt now is the right time to put this event on. There’s nothing specialist about osteoarthritis treatment and management; every small animal and equine practice deals with OA every day.”

Further information on the event and to book, please vist the VOA website.
