The International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) looks forward to welcoming veterinary professionals back in-person at the ISFM Congress in Rhodes and Hong Kong this year, with a virtual congress available for those unable to travel.
The theme for the ISFM Congress series is “Feline Fine: How to create harmony between physical health and mental well-being in your treatment and management of feline cases”, which will explore the wide-reaching relationship between feline emotions and behaviour, as well as other disciplines such as neurology, pain-management, infectious disease and internal medicine.
Rhodes
The ISFM Congress series begins in the beautiful Greek island of Rhodes (30 June to 3 July) where world-renowned speakers, including Sarah Heath, Danielle Gunn-Moore, Clare Rusbridge and Matt Gurney, will be presenting a full programme of practical lectures and events. Additional masterclasses will take an in-depth look into pain management, neurology and evolving Cat Friendly Skills, and ISFM’s unique Q&A sessions will give delegates the opportunity to ask questions directly to speakers and go beyond the talks.
There will be plenty of opportunities to network and meet like-minded veterinary professionals and time for delegates to enjoy and explore Rhodes. Early bird member registration starts at just £445, and ISFM are able to offer a discounted rate to stay at the Sheraton Rhodes Resort.
Hong Kong
ISFM Congress will also be in the vibrant city of Hong Kong with two days of talks on the link between stress and infectious disease. Expert speakers include specialist Veterinary Behaviourist Sarah Heath, Professors Vanessa Barrs and Julia Beatty from The City University in Hong Kong and Paulo Steagall, pioneer of the Feline Grimace Scale pain assessment tool. More details will be announced soon.
Virtual
For those unable to attend in-person, a virtual congress including all the content from the events in Rhodes and Hong Kong, as well as exclusive bonus content and additional live Q&A sessions, will be available for free to ISFM members, or for £135 to non-members.
Nathalie Dowgray, head of ISFM, commented: “I can’t wait to get back to seeing everyone in-person. Being joined by such fabulous speakers as Sarah Heath, Danielle Gunn-Moore and Clare Rusbridge as well as Matt Gurney in Rhodes is amazing enough, but we’ll be taking Sarah Heath to Hong Kong where we’ll be joined by Vanessa Barrs, Julia Beatty and Paulo Steagall. We really have the cream of the feline veterinary profession at ISFM this year.’
To keep everyone safe, ISFM asks for proof of double vaccination and that delegates comply with local government guidelines. For full details and to register, visit: the ISFM website.
