Medivet announces reward packages for nurses and new graduates

As part of its strategy to boost investment in new talent recruitment, Medivet has launched new rewards packages for its veterinary nurses and new graduates

Medivet has launched new rewards packages for its veterinary nurses and new graduates as part of its strategy to boost investment in new talent recruitment and reward its existing colleagues for their dedication to the business.

For registered veterinary nurses the new Medivet starting salary will be £30,000 per year. In addition, the vet group is increasing its registered nurse Continued Personal Development allowance to £750 per year – enabling its registered nurse community to attend more external training on a wider range of areas to support the development of their skills, interests and careers.

Medivet has also enhanced its new graduate veterinary surgeon salaries to an industry leading starting salary of £35,000, with second year graduate veterinary surgeons moving to an average of £40,000 per year. Medivet wants to ensure its new graduate veterinary surgeons feel fairly rewarded as well as trained and developed in their first two years with the Company.

Medivet CEO Chris Cools said: “Our nurses and new graduate vets are a vital part of our clinical community. They are passionate professionals, working tirelessly to provide the very highest standards of care to our patients. Rewarding our Nurses and our new Graduate Vets with an outstanding reward package and continued professional development are absolute priorities for Medivet, and we will continue to review, evolve and improve our care and support for all our clinicians over the coming months and years.”

The new reward and development enhancements came into effect from 1 May 2022.
