Emergency and critical care provider Vets Now has appointed Mandisa Greene as medical director.
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Council member will replace Laura Playforth, who is joining IVC Evidensia as group quality improvement director, on the Vets Now board.
Mandisa Greene said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Vets Now family at such an interesting and challenging time for the veterinary professions.
“I look forward to working together through innovative approaches to ensure our teams continue to deliver the highest standards of clinical care and client services.”
Mandisa qualified from the Royal (Dick) Vet School in Edinburgh in 2008 and has since spent much of her career working in emergency and critical care — leading teams in both daytime and out of hours.
She was president of the RCVS Council in 2020/21 and has also worked for Harper Adams University as a lecturer in veterinary sciences.
She’s currently an RCVS Knowledge trustee, a STEM ambassador and a Vetlife volunteer.
Patricia Colville, Vets Now’s chief operating officer, said: “Mandisa brings a wealth of experience to this role and I’m excited about the prospect of working alongside her.
“She recognises the importance of delivering a caring and quality clinical service and will help ensure every member of our team deliver the best care for the pets they treat.”
