Davies adds Anne Fraser to neurology team

European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology Anne Fraser has joined the neurology team at Davies Veterinary Specialists

Davies Veterinary Specialists (Davies) has added to its extensive neurology service with the appointment of European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology Anne Fraser. This brings the total number of neurology specialists to four, within a service comprising seven neurology professionals, including a neurology technician at the practice’s hearing assessment clinic.

Anne graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2007 and completed both a small animal rotating and small animal surgery internship in private practice. She went on to undertake a three-year small animal surgery residency at Murdoch University, Australia, during which time she developed a passion for veterinary neurology.

Upon completing her surgical training, Anne commenced a three-year veterinary neurology and neurosurgery residency at the University of Melbourne, Australia. While there she undertook a research masters investigating biomarkers to aid the diagnosis and classification of canine gliomas. In 2016 Anne moved to the UK and received her European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) diploma.

As a multi-service hospital, Linnaeus-owned Davies enables the neurology team to work closely with other disciplines to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. The team also runs a hearing assessment clinic for dog and cat breeds on screening programmes for congenital deafness and for individuals where hearing loss is suspected.

Anne Fraser said: “Working alongside a team of caring, talented and dedicated colleagues, in a multi-disciplinary and state-of-the-art facility, enables me to provide the best possible care to my patients.”

Ben Orton, hospital director at Davies said: “We wholeheartedly welcome Anne. With the addition of her impressive skillset, the team is looking forward to continuing to expand our important neurology service to help even more patients with challenging conditions.”
