The Webinar Vet has partnered with Merlin Vets to deliver a free sponsored webinar series on rethinking your horse’s digestive health

The webinar will be taking place on Monday 23 November 2020

The Webinar Vet has partnered with Merlin Vets to deliver a free CPD sponsored webinar series addressing equine digestive health. The webinar will be taking place on Monday 23 November 2020, 8pm
and presented by Nathan Slovis DVM, Dipl. ACVIM, CHT.

The Veterinary Team at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky has discovered the potency of a polysaccharide formula targeting Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS). Previous pre-clinical successes with other species drove their investigation and found that a unique blend of polysaccharides including MHB3, a patented form of hyaluronan, only found in relyne GI supports healthy digestion.

Hyaluronan, also known as hyaluronic acid, is a natural, high-molecular weight polysaccharide found in the body. Its normal functions include: cell signalling, skin support, moisture retention, lubricating connective tissues, and absorbing shock in joints. However, in the digestive system its function is to maintain normal gastric and intestinal homeostasis and is vital in fluid exchange to and from the body.

Relyne GI also utilises a pure beta-glucan found in yeast extract. Beta-glucans are scientifically proven to nutritionally support immunity.

The prevalence of gastric ulcers in horses is high across all disciplines and effects overall condition, performance, and behaviour. The Hagyards Veterinary team sought an alternative to traditional treatment options for EGUS that would be effective and safe for continuous use without altering the GI Ph.

This webinar will explain how their investigations and continued field-use have resulted in the creation of Relyne GI.
