IVC Evidensia has launched a new Official Veterinarian (OV) export information portal, aimed at UK producers wanting to export products, livestock, equines etc., that require OV health certification or registered veterinary surgeon certification of support attestations for products falling under the groupage exports facilitation scheme.
Now that the UK is no longer part of the European Union, the long held expectancy that the demand for certification will rise dramatically is being seen. IVC Evidensia’s UK network of Official Veterinarians are keen to help make sure this process runs as smoothly as possible for both UK exporters who are current clients and for potential, new customers now requiring this service.
Health Certificates ensure the traceability of each animal or animal product, verifying the identity, origin and health status to ensure they meet the health requirements of the destination country, and to provide reassurance that animal health and welfare are always protected.
Owain Jenkins, (BSc BVSc DBR MRCVS) chair of IVC Evidensia’s Farm Animal Advisory Board said, “We recognise that there are challenges ahead with future export arrangements but, as a group, our network of Official Vets are keen to help exporters with all their certification needs.”
The group’s army of OVs are offering a complete service that can satisfy one-off certification needs through direct inspection or system audit, as well as ongoing consultative certifying relationships. Our OVs are authorised by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) and are full members of the RCVS.
