Boehringer’s Men in Blue launch mission to provide vets with parasite knowledge

Each mission should take approximately 20 minutes to complete and is available now

Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health UK has created a new, interactive e-learning programme for livestock vets and SQPs advising farmers, called the Men in Blue.

The Men in Blue have a mission to help vets and SQPs learn about the parasites affecting animal health, welfare and productivity, and how they help farmers make the best decisions on treating their animals.

Victoria Hudson, Senior Brand Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, says: “We are committed to supporting vets and SQPs with high quality e-learning opportunities and are excited about the launch of Men in Blue. We hope that they will find the content of the missions enjoyable as well as informative”

The first mission the Men in Blue have undertaken is on parasites, productivity and profitability, while the second mission focuses on lungworm.

Each mission should take approximately 20 minutes to complete and is available now.

The male and female Men in Blue special agents lead participants through each mission with prompts to click graphics to reveal information. Knowledge is tested at several points; quick questions to check understanding throughout the mission, while a longer scenario/role play tests the users’ knowledge in a store environment, demonstrating learning from the mission.

Participants can re-take the mission as many times as they require.

The Men in Blue missions can be accessed through the Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Resource Hub and are available immediately.

Future Men in Blue missions will cover liver fluke and other parasitology topics.
