“Walk in the Park” winner to celebrate new year in New York

An exciting new “Walk in the Park” competition will be coming in 2020

Chloe Clark of Aran Veterinary Clinic, Llangefni, Anglesey will be welcoming in the New Year in style having won the NexGard Spectra “Walk in the Park” competition.

“Walk in the Park” offered veterinary surgeons and vet nurses the opportunity to watch an entertaining and educational video, delivered by some rather unsavoury characters, about four key parasite threats which affect dogs and how NexGard Spectra can be used to control them. Viewers who correctly answered follow up questions could then enter for their chance to win a trip to New York.

The video and competition proved hugely popular and Chloe Clark, who recently joined Aran Veterinary Clinic after studying veterinary nursing at Coleg Llandrillo Mena, was chosen at random as the winner from over 3000 entries. Not surprisingly, Chloe was ecstatic when her Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Territory Manager, Jenni Malone, contacted her with the news.

“I couldn’t believe the news at first,” said Chloe, “but once it sank in, I really wanted to try and get to New York for the New Year celebrations if possible. Jenni and the rest of the NexGard Spectra team have been great and pulled out all the stops to get me and my boyfriend Andrew off to New York on 30 December. I can’t thank them and the team here at Aran enough.”

Evelyn Murphy, Senior Brand Manager for NexGard Spectra, congratulated Chloe on her win and thanked all those who participated:

“I’m delighted that Chloe has won this once-in-a-lifetime trip to New York at New Year with NexGard Spectra. Like NexGard Spectra, the ‘Walk in the Park‘ education video has proved incredibly popular with the veterinary community in 2019. We had thousands of veterinary professionals watch our unique ‘Walk in the Park‘characters deliver their radical new take on the threats posed by fleas, ticks, lungworm and roundworm. Each of those professionals and their practices are now in a better position to advise dog owners on how to control these important parasites, which is brilliant news for UK dogs. I can also announce that an exciting new ‘Walk in the Park‘competition is coming for 2020, so look out for that soon.”
