Royal Canin release new urinary range

Following the relaunch of its entire line of veterinary diets into one simplified range; Veterinary Health Nutrition, Royal Canin introduced its first new diet at BSAVA Congress.

The Royal Canin Urinary® range was launched to BSAVA delegates from 4-7 April.

The first product to launch from the new Veterinary Health Nutrition range, the urinary products are available in both wet pouches and dry kibble and have been expertly manufactured to provide tailored nutritional solutions for canines and felines with urinary issues.

BSAVA Congress also saw Royal Canin introduce a revolutionary new urinary diagnostic tool – the Royal Canin® Hematura Detection by Blücare. The innovative tool which is made up of granules which are put into a cat’s litter tray, enables early detection of blood in a cat’s urine by turning blue preventing the chances of feline lower urinary tract disease developing any further. Royal Canin were joined by experts from Blücare in the demo area, where delegates witnessed the tool in action.

Commenting on the first roll out of the Veterinary Health Range, John O’Connor, Corporate Affairs Director at Royal Canin, said: “We are constantly looking to evolve our offer and provide the very best in nutrition. We have simplified our ranges making it easier to navigate and choose the right product for each cat and dog, created a new premium pack design and developed our best veterinary nutritional solutions.

“It was imperative that we worked very closely with the veterinary community in making this bold transformation so we consulted with vets and vet nurses, in addition to pet owners from across the world.”

John continued: “We have been developing Veterinary Health Nutrition for over three years to ensure we provide vets with the very best nutritional solutions to answer pets’ needs. Royal Canin has 50 years’ of experience in animal nutrition, and continue to support the veterinary community by arming them with proven science and innovative nutritional solutions.”
