Carol Hughes

Carol Hughes has been involved in multiple research projects with Bangor and Aberystwyth universities on the development and extraction of active plant compounds and bioactive peptides for veterinary use. She started commercial genomic sequencing of the gut microbiome in 2018, with a database of 6,000 animals, using AI/ML to detect dysbiosis patterns within complex datasets.
