VetIMPRESS teams up with industry experts in new webinar series for farm vets

Webinar series is aimed at helping vets to think about how to maximise their services to farmers using the VetIMPRESS platform

VetIMPRESS, in partnership with Vetoquinol is hosting a new webinar series to provoke additional ideas for farm vet practices in response to the changing landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic; helping vets to think about how to maximise their services to farmers using the VetIMPRESS platform during the challenging times ahead. Each Wednesday, VetIMPRESS will partner with a variety of veterinary experts for a live discussion and Q&A. Speakers and themes will vary week to week, with key topics discussed and an element of CPD included.

“Farmers are predicting tough times ahead, so supporting our vet customers matters more than ever. It is important to VetIMPRESS that vets as ‘key workers’ know how we are here to support them as they continue to optimise farm production with their advice and decision support to farmers,” said George Brownlee, CEO at VetIMPRESS.

“We believe that in this era of ‘social distancing’ a weekly series, with expert advice and a live Q&A for attendees, is the best way to provide this support right now.”

The webinar series will cover topics such as:

  • Responsible use of antimicrobials
  • Mastitis management
  • Lameness

Speakers will be announced weekly, with the first webinar having taken place on 6 May with Peter May, a Bovine Reproductive Expert and Veterinarian.

The next webinar “Transforming Metrics Into Value” will take place on Wednesday 13 May 2020, where VetIMPRESS Vet Solutions Manager Gualter Graca will demonstrate how the VetIMPRESS platform can be used to identify productivity improvements on-farm alongside guest presenter and

Dairy Consultant, Mike Steele, who will be bringing his knowledge of analysing farm processes to discuss how some of the commonly used reproductive parameters on dairies can be both helpful, but also have their limitations.
