Simon Gubbins

Simon Gubbins is head of transmission biology at The Pirbright Institute. His research aims to understand the transmission of viral diseases of livestock and use this to improve disease surveillance and control. He has particular expertise in the transmission of Culicoides-borne viruses and played an integral role during the UK BTV-8 outbreak in 2007.
