A message to our learning community After much consideration, we’ve made the decision to close the Improve Veterinary Practice platform on 13 January 2026. Improve Veterinary Practice was built to support vets and nurses at every stage of their career, and while this chapter is ending, a new one is starting at Improve Veterinary Education. Lisa Martin

Lisa Martin gained her veterinary nursing qualification in 1991 and worked in a range of companion animal and mixed practices. After moving into pharmaceutical sales and achieving AMTRA Certification, she took a practice management role, gaining ILM qualifications and completing the Certificate in Veterinary Practice Management. Since 2016, Lisa has worked in sales and support with laboratory diagnostic equipment.
