A message to our learning community After much consideration, we’ve made the decision to close the Improve Veterinary Practice platform on 13 January 2026. Improve Veterinary Practice was built to support vets and nurses at every stage of their career, and while this chapter is ending, a new one is starting at Improve Veterinary Education. Katie Pitman

Katie Pitman, BVetMed, MRCVS, joined the MSD Animal Health UK poultry team in 2013 to broaden the technical services support offered to poultry customers. Before this, Katie worked in mixed practice in Ireland, Wales and England after completing a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College.
