Alexander Mastin

Dr Alexander Mastin is the modelling coordinator for exotic animal disease at the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), working in the epidemiology and risk policy advice team. He is also the chair of the Bluetongue Airborne Risk Assessment Group, which includes experts from APHA, the Pirbright Institute, the Met Office and the UK Office for SPS Trade Assurance. The group meet regularly during the high vector season to monitor the risk of entry of virus-infected vectors into Great Britain.
