A message to our learning community After much consideration, we’ve made the decision to close the Improve Veterinary Practice platform on 13 January 2026. Improve Veterinary Practice was built to support vets and nurses at every stage of their career, and while this chapter is ending, a new one is starting at Improve Veterinary Education. Jon Mayer

Jonathan Mayer, BVM, BVS, MRCVS, graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016, after which he worked briefly in Somerset before returning home to Shropshire. He completed a farm animal internship in 2019 and is currently working at Park Issa Vets in Oswestry, part of IVC Evidensia.
