A message to our learning community After much consideration, we’ve made the decision to close the Improve Veterinary Practice platform on 13 January 2026. Improve Veterinary Practice was built to support vets and nurses at every stage of their career, and while this chapter is ending, a new one is starting at Improve Veterinary Education. Jessica Parker

Jessica Parker, BSc (Hons), NCert (anaesthesia), RVN, graduated from the Royal Agricultural University in 2017 with a degree in veterinary nursing. In 2019 she completed the Nurses Certificate in anaesthesia with Improve International and currently works for Moorview Referrals, part of the IVC Evidensia Referral Network. Her interests lie in anaesthesia, internal medicine and feline nursing.
