“Hands-on neurological examinations” to be covered by Georgina Harris

Improve Veterinary Education have invited Georgina Harris to discuss hands-on neurological examinations as part of there upcoming CPD courses

Do you want learn how to get hands-on when it comes to neurological examinations?

Then why not join Improve Veterinary Education’s “Hands-on Neurological Examination” CPD session on Monday 20 June at Alexandra House, Swindon.

Georgina Harris, BVetmed (Hons), MRCVS, Dip,ECVN, will be the speaker for the session.

An exciting new one day, practical course, teaching the principles and technique of neurological examination, in the dog has been launched by Improve Veterinary Education.

The course will comprise of both lectures and hands on teaching, using live dogs.

The course will help you understand the goals of a neurological examination, the techniques involved and how to adapt them for challenging or nervous patients.

Georgina will then guide you to formulate a reasonable list of differential diagnoses and diagnostic treatment plans.

By joining the course, you will:

  • Understand the goal of a neurological examination
  • Understand techniques/steps involved in neurological examination and how to adapt them for challenging or nervous patients
  • Interpretation of neurological examination findings to help provide a localisation
  • Have the opportunity to practice the neurological exam in normal patients to develop and understanding of normal variation
  • From your localisation understand a structure to formulate a reasonable list of differential diagnoses and diagnostic and treatment plans
