VetCT is hosting the final webinar in its Equine Winter Webinars Series 2023 on the 18 April at 7pm BST.
The third webinar in the popular mini-series is titled “In the world of foot MRI, has CT got a place?”, and is presented by guest speaker Dr Jonathon Dixon, sponsored by Hallmarq.
Like the previous webinars, it is aimed at both first opinion and advanced equine clinicians.
VetCT and Hallmarq have been raising awareness through the #ImageMoreHorses campaign to highlight that advanced imaging is more accessible than ever to benefit more horses.
The series consists of three webinars, the topics of which were voted for by delegates at BEVA Congress last year.
The first two webinars, “Imaging for PPEs: It’s not Black and White” and “Imaging the stifle: more than just X-rays”, gained over 600 registrants from across the globe, and provided a friendly, interactive community for Q&As.
The practical topics gave attendees valuable take-home messages and insights from the presenters and an opportunity to learn from real life case examples.
VetCT’s equine teleradiology manager Charlotte Graham, said: “The 2023 Winter Webinar Series has been a great success.
“Building on previous years, we have welcomed delegates from Belarus, Poland, Morocco, Indonesia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UK.
“Part of its success each year is down to polling vets on potential topics, thus ensuring we deliver content they want and value.
“We are also lucky to have such exceptional radiologists to present the webinars.
“Dr Sarah Powell, Dr Marianna Biggi and Dr Lucy Meehan all gave fantastic presentations on the two earlier webinars, and I’m excited to have Jonathon presenting the final episode.
“We can guarantee a highly engaging talk with plenty of useful tips on case selection for each modality as well as some interesting discussions in the Q&A session.”
Jonathon is an RCVS and EBVS European specialist in veterinary diagnostic imaging, with a particular interest in MRI of the distal limb and has published scientific work on this subject, among others.
With the increase in availability and accessibility to CT for horses, this hot topic will be well received by equine vets at all levels of experience.
VetCT is looking forward to hosting another set of equine focussed webinars next year to deliver educational content globally.
