Sedaxylan 20 mg/ml contains the short acting alpha-2 agonist xylazine and is licensed for intravenous (IV) administration.
Providing flexible dosing options, it is also licensed for intramuscular (IM) administration in cattle.
It is a popular premedication for use in cattle sedation and brief surgical procedures.
It has zero milk withdrawal and short one-day meat withdrawal.
Sedation occurs in cattle within two minutes IV and 5 to 10 minutes IM.
