It’s Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month (VNAM) and to celebrate the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) is offering a free membership to Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) during the month of May, giving them totally free access to a plethora of benefits. As the icing on the VNAM cake, BEVA is also giving free access to one of their most popular courses “How to heal wounds” for the duration of May to all nurse members.
BEVA membership benefits include access to their vast online learning platform which has over 150 hours of equine CPD resources, as well as access to the leading clinical journal Equine Veterinary Education (EVE).
The online CPD course “How to Heal Wounds – An Online Masterclass for Vets and Vet Nurses” covers the key concepts of wound physiology and introduces new treatment ideas designed to optimise wound healing. Twelve on-demand lectures are presented Dr Dylan A Gorvy, Georgie Hollis, Professor Derek Knottenbelt and Dr Patrick J Pollock. The course also includes access to case-based discussions from the four leading names.
“We are delighted to be able to do something practical and supportive to celebrate the vital role RVNs play in every equine practice,” said David Mountford, chief executive of BEVA. “We know how much our members value our online learning and hope that RVNs everywhere can enjoy a month of first class free membership benefits as well as access to our one of most highly subscribed courses.”
