Dechra to host CPD exclusive sessions at LVS

Dechra is to host three exclusive CPD sessions on feline inappetence, the next generation of alpha-2 agonists and strangles at London Vet Show in November

Dechra Veterinary Products is demonstrating its investment in educational initiatives to enhance best practice during consultations and yard visits by hosting a series of exclusive CPD sessions at the London Vet Show (LVS) which takes place on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 November.

Leading companion animal and equine experts will be hosting the sessions including Dr Sam Taylor, feline specialist and academy lead at the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) who will be presenting on cat inappetence and the remedy offered by Mirataz.

Matt Gurney, clinical director at Anderson Moores will also be sharing the latest developments in sedation in dogs including Zenalpha, while Andrew Waller, chief scientific officer at Intervacc AB, will be discussing how to rein in the impact of strangles using Dechra’s ground-breaking new protein based vaccine, Strangvac.

The schedule for the CPD sessions, which will each last for approximately an hour and take place in Gallery Suite 3, is:

“Feline pawsative” about cat inappetence with Dr Sam Taylor at 9.00am on Thursday 17 November and 1.45pm on Friday 18 November

Zennovation in sedation – the next generation of alpha-2 agonists with Matt Gurney at 11.20am on Thursday 17 November and 9.00am on Friday 18 November

Rein in the impact of strangles –with Andrew Waller at 12.30pm on Thursday 17 November and 12.35pm on Friday 18 November

The CPD sessions are first come first served, and are expected to be well attended, so please get there early!

During LVS, visitors to Dechra’s stand (stand M25) will be given the opportunity to win one of four series 8 apple watches in a prize draw by answering a series of questions on both Dechra and its products.

The Dechra team will also be welcoming delegates to the stand between 4pm and 6pm on Thursday 17 November to raise a glass or two to the company to help celebrate its 25th anniversary.
