Leading ECC provider boosts staff CPD allowance

Staff at Vets Now, Europe’s leading emergency and critical care provider, are to benefit from a £100,000 investment in CPD allowances

Clinic support teams including ACAs and receptionists at Vets Now, Europe’s leading emergency an will receive 10 CPD hours a year, after they company recieves a 100,000 investment in CPD allowance. While the allowance for senior nurses will rise to up to £2200.

Meanwhile, vets and vet nurses can now spend 10 percent of their CPD allowance on educational books and subscriptions. 

CEO of Vets Now, Mark Ross, said: “Releasing potential is one of the fundamental values upon which Vets Now was founded and we’re always looking at innovative ways of reinvesting back into our business and our people” 

“There are more plans in the pipeline and there will be a particular focus on well-being, CPD and career progression.” 

Vets Now has announced a raft of benefits package improvements in recent years. In April, it granted six months’ fully paid leave for expectant mothers and four weeks’ paid leave for new fathers.  

Vets Now also became a real living wage employer, improved its sick pay policy, reduced working hours for clinical teams and introduced paid voluntary leave for everyone within the company.
