Animalcare has set up a new company, identicare, to house its identibase pet database and identichip microchip business. By separating it out, Animalcare aims to dedicate additional resources to the business and ensure that veterinary practices, pet owners and their pets continue to receive a high level of customer service.

- A simplified, easier-to-use website for pet owners and a multi-channel service, including text messaging, phone and online
- A more tailored customer experience
- The live sharing of lost pet information, including:
- Location maps showing where a particular pet went missing or was stolen
- Alerts to the identibase community
- Improved shared functionality with social media
- The ability to share with WhatsApp contacts.
Commenting Samantha Williamson, UK Country Manager at Animalcare, said: “Through our identichip microchips and our identibase pet database, we provide one of the UK’s longest-established pet microchipping services and are helping to reunite owners with their lost pets every single day.
